Transcript of a private journal kept by John Cohen on board the Happy Lotus during a voyage from London to Sydney, 9 June 1835-2 November 1835. Transcribed from the manuscript original, in Melbourne in 1958. Title page of the transcript reads "John Cohen's original journal kept during a voyage from London to Sydney, N.S.W. on board the Happy Lotus, (Captain Summerson) burthen 397 tons- carrying 780 tons". Cohen's own title page reads "Private journal kept by John Cohen on board the ship Lotus during a voyage from London to Sydney, N.S. Wales"
